About Us

Vancouver Lace Club is a society of lacemaking practitioners and enthusiasts. Our purpose is to foster interest and growth of all kinds of lace making: bobbin lace, tatting, crocheted lace, knitted lace, needle lace. Membership dues are $20 per year or $3 per meeting if you want to come as a drop-in. Membership is open to anyone and the first meeting is free.

Our regular meetings are held from 10 am to 1 pm on the 4th Thursday of the month in Sept, Oct, Nov, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May and June, in the Board Room at the East Hastings Community Centre, 3096 East Hastings Street. During July and August we usually have informal meetings on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays, from 10:30 to 1, in the gazebo in the Rose Garden at Queen’s Park in New Westminster.

  1. I am interested in refreshing my knowledge and skill with bobbin lace, do you ever have evening or weekend meetings?

    • The Vancouver Lace Club doesn’t have evening or weekend meetings, but I would suggest you contact Jay at Pear-Shaped Designs (a link to her website is on the right side of your screen) who may be starting up an evening group in late 2015 or early 2016. Also, please note the classes given by most teachers are on the weekends. Hope this helps.
