Well, the last two meetings have been great. In October we had 3 sets of Show and Tell, including Madeira Embroidery, Romanian Point Crochet, and Ivan Sayers came by with two lace coats and a silk dress. Lots to point at and talk about there! Last week we had some show and tell but also some shopping, because someone who is cleaning out her stash came by and sold some items. I got two great books and a couple of tatting shuttles. We’re getting a good turnout at the meetings, but we still hope some more of you will be able to join us in the New Year.
Some of us are already considering the class list for the Northwest Regional Lace Conference in Portland next June. Registration starts on February 1st and if you want to be sure of getting your first pick, you need to get your registration in earlier rather than later. This conference has scheduled all of their classes to be the same length – each class includes 15 hours of instruction – so you will just take one class. This is a change from the usual mix of short and long classes, but it does make the registration a lot easier. You will find a link to the Conference website on the right-hand side of the screen.
We have also decided to get together for a Christmas lunch. We will be at the White Spot in New Westminster (610 6th Street) at 11:30 a.m. on December 11th. (Please RSVP). Hope to see you there!
